In short: Our research programme turns public UK data into original, fully referenced studies on how Britain approaches gut health, energy, NAD+ and longevity, each written by our research team and reviewed by a nutritionist, and free to read in full.
Vivere is built on measurement, so our content should be too. Alongside our product and science pages, we publish original data studies that look at how the country actually behaves around its health: what Britain searches for, what it spends, and where the science really stands. Each one is built from public data, checked against NHS and other authoritative guidance, and written in plain English.
The studies span the areas at the heart of what we do: the gut microbiome, NAD+ and longevity, energy and healthy ageing, and the wider wellness economy. This page is the home for all of them. You can read any study in full below, and we add new ones as we complete them.
At a glance
Original studies across our core areas: The gut microbiome, NAD+ and longevity, energy and everyday health, and the UK wellness economy.
Built from public UK data: Google Trends for Great Britain, the Office for National Statistics, NHS prescribing data, PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov and published market research.
Compiled by our research team and reviewed by a nutritionist, with every medical claim sourced separately to the NHS, NICE, GOV.UK or peer-reviewed research.
Free to read in full, with clear methods, stated limitations and a scheduled annual refresh.

Our studies are listed below with the most recent first. Each one answers a specific question about health in the UK, using real data rather than opinion. Follow any title to read the full study, including its charts, sources and method.
The Wellness Spend Index: What Britain Pays to Feel Well
UK consumers spend an estimated 9 billion pounds a year on supplements, wearables and at-home tests, about 168 pounds per adult, inside a record 35.5 billion pounds of household health spending.
Published 23 September 2026. Built from ONS, NHS, published market research and Google Trends data. Read the full study.
NAD+: From Lab to Lifestyle, Mapping the Rise of a Longevity Molecule
NAD+ science reached a record 2,530 research papers in 2025, and 748 registered studies, yet UK public interest only caught up in the last three years, so the marketing has run ahead of the human evidence.
Published 22 September 2026. Built from PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov and Google Trends data. Read the full study.
Why Is Britain So Tired? Mapping the Nation's Fatigue by Season and Region
UK searches about tiredness peak in June and July rather than winter; Northern Ireland is the most tired nation by search interest, and NHS sleeping-pill prescribing is falling.
Published 9 September 2026. Built from Google Trends, NHS and CQC prescribing data, and the ONS. Read the full study.
Biohacking Britain: How the UK Is Searching Its Way to a Longer Life
Five years of UK search data show the buzzword "biohacking" levelling off while specific, measurable habits such as biological age, VO2 max and NAD+ keep climbing, each taking off around a clear cultural moment.
Published 11 September 2026. Built from Google Trends, PubMed and Exploding Topics data. Read the full study.
How we produce our research
Every Vivere study follows the same method and links the data sources so you can understand how the numbers are calculated and check them yourself. We start with a clear, useful question, gather publicly available data to answer it, analyse that data honestly, and then set the findings against established health guidance before we publish.
Only public, aggregated data
We use publicly available, aggregated and anonymised data. That includes Google Trends for Great Britain, the Office for National Statistics, NHS and NHS Business Services Authority prescribing data, PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov and published market research. We use no patient records, personal accounts or identifiable information, and no individual's data is analysed.
Analysis you can check
Where we work from search data or market estimates, we say so plainly, report ranges rather than false precision, and label any figure that is a triangulated estimate. Every study includes a full method section and an honest list of its limitations, so anyone can see how we reached a number.
Health claims sourced to authorities
Search interest and spending tell us what people are curious about, not what works. So every medical or scientific claim in a study is sourced separately to the NHS, NICE, GOV.UK, the MHRA or peer-reviewed research, and reviewed by a nutritionist before publication.
Kept current
Each study shows its publication date and its next scheduled refresh, and we update the figures annually so the findings stay reliable. If we correct anything after publication, we do so openly.
Who writes and reviews our research
Our studies are compiled by our research team and reviewed by Yusra Serdaroglu Aydin, MSc RD, Vivere's Head of Nutrition, whose expertise covers nutrition, diet, gut health and healthy ageing. Naming the people behind our work, and the evidence behind every claim, is central to how we publish.
"All things related to health should always be backed by science. We've put the available data under research and turned it into a context to see what they really tell us. Each of the topics is interesting and a good read for curious minds."
Using and citing our research
Our studies are free to read, share and reference. If you are a journalist, researcher or writer and you quote a figure from one of them, please attribute it to the named study and link to the original study page, so your readers can see the full method and the underlying sources.
